So we're walking through Rue de Montorgieul in Paris last night, right around when folks are getting out of work. We're smelling the yummy scents of the chickens roasting in the many gigantic rotisseire ovens lining the street. There are fruit and vegetable stalls, cheese shops, bakeries and butcher shops along this street — everything is fresh — a cook's dream. We walk past this one shop and see this...
Hare hanging... with the hair still on. Now we're not a squeamish pair, Clay and I, so this didn't freak us out, but when Clay briefly considered buying one to cook at the apartment, we both had second thoughts. Though "the hair comes right off" according to Clay, I think we might find it a little tough to eat a rabbit we had to skin ourselves.

Oh, rabbit is so good! Have you ever had it? I wonder if the butcher would have skinned it for you?... Have fun in Paris :)
